Want to buy a realistic-looking black airsoft gun (RIF) from onlyBBguns? Because these guns look so real, UK law (the VCRA Act) requires you to have a valid reason, called a "defence," to own one. Essentially, you need to prove you're buying it for airsoft skirmishing (the sport itself), not for any other purpose.

Here's how you can demonstrate your defence to onlyBBguns and buy a black airsoft gun:

  1. Show proof of skirmishing: Gather evidence like photos and videos from airsoft games you've participated in. These should clearly show you actively involved in skirmishing, demonstrating your intent to use the gun for the sport.
  2. Become a registered skirmisher: The easiest way to prove your defence is by joining a recognized airsoft association and getting a membership card. The most common one in the UK is UKARA. This registration confirms you're a legitimate airsoft player.

Don't have either of those? No problem! You can still buy the airsoft gun. onlyBBguns can paint it in a two-tone colour scheme. This means part of the gun will be sprayed a bright, non-realistic colour. This makes the gun a "non-realistic imitation firearm" and avoids the restrictions of the VCRA Act. Anyone over 18 can legally buy a two-tone airsoft gun.

The Innovation of the CAM MKIII System

The operational realism of the CAM MKIII platform is the core appeal. As many shell ejecting shotgun users will tell you, the fun of the immersive realism vastly outweighs any inconvenience caused by shell collection. This shotgun has been designed to almost entirely function like a real one, even down to preparing your shell loads. APS listened to users of their previous Mark II design and made massive changes for improvement: the CO2 charge is no longer done into the bolt carrier. Instead, the shells hold the CO2 charge, meaning the shotgun is now capable of delivering much more power and consistency than the previous version. This innovation makes the system so much more practical and reliable.

Authentic Operation and Firepower

Users insert a paper topper to prevent the BBs from rolling out of the shell (which can hold up to 12 BBs for a massive spread) and then load them into the magazine tube like a real one. There’s no need for inner barrels and hop-up chambers, as all of the BBs are expended at once in one shot out of the 18mm diameter outer barrel. Rack the pump to eject the empty shell and load the next one—a functional, satisfying cycle that enhances any Milsim experience. The Full Metal components, including the internals, receiver, barrel, magazine tube, trigger guard, trigger, and action, give it a good heft and ruggedness, adding significantly to the realism. This shotgun is genuinely a CQB beast and a must-have for any collector or player who enjoys high-fidelity realism

Same as APS CAM870 shotgun, this rotating cylinder shotgun comes with two version, which is MK2 (Green Gas Bolt Charging) and MK-3 (Co2 charged into the cartridge shell)

Check out the brand-new APS MK-3 Street Sweeper Revolver Shotgun – a top-notch addition to your Airsoft gear inspired by famous guns from movies and games. A Bit of Background Originally made in South Africa in 1981, the Striker-12, nicknamed the "Street Sweeper", was meant for military and security use. It can shoot different kinds of 12-gauge cartridges and reloads super-fast so you can switch up your ammo on the fly.

Cool Gas System CAM MKIII shotgun are 100% compatible with MKI shells and Smart Shot shells. Smart shot shells allow user to fill gas directly through the valve. With the use of either 88g cylinder adapter or paintball cylinder adapter, the filling is 3 times faster than the old MKI system.

Comfy Design, Made for comfort and easy handling, this shotgun has grips with finger grooves that fit just right. The folding stock adds versatility, perfect for tight spots and storing away when you're between missions.

Two tone
We can two tone any weapon we sell at Bespoke Airsoft. The purpose for two toning is if you do not hold a valid defense under the Violent Crimes Reduction Act (VCRA, 2006) which is to prevent the misuse of Replica Weapons, which applies in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The gun will be sprayed 51% in a bright/primary color (we do only blue, green and red currently). The process of two toning currently runs at 2 working days depending on Drying Time, which is effected by Ambient Temperature and Weather. and currently no express delivery is available for this even if you select it at checkout.

FAQs

1.     What is a BB gun used for?  BB guns are mostly used for practice shooting and training. The stronger ones (i.e. Air Rifles) can also control pests or hunt small animals.

2.     Do you need a Licence in the UK for a BB gun? No, you don't need a licence for a BB gun in the UK, but there are rules. The BB Gun needs to be in two colours; one has to be a primary. All our guns are on the website as per default.

3.     Is a BB gun a good weapon?   BB guns, despite sometimes being seen as toys, can be dangerous. They fire pellets at high speeds and can cause serious harm, or even be deadly in some situations.

4.     Can you shoot BB guns in public in the UK without a Firearm license? BB guns in the UK navigate a legal grey area. While certain models, notably low-power 'soft air' types, typically evade classification as section 1 firearms, more potent versions may require a valid firearms certificate to avoid legal repercussions.

5.     Can you shoot a BB gun in your garden? You can use a BB gun in your garden under UK law, but you have to ensure the pellets don't go into your neighbour's yard, plot or land. If they do and you don't have permission, it's against the law.

6.     Which UK law am I breaking if the pellets go into my neighbour's law without permission?  If your BB gun pellets go into your neighbour's yard without permission, you're breaking UK laws. Specifically, the 1968 Firearms Act and possibly the 2003 Anti-Social Behaviour Act, because you may be causing your neighbours trouble or worry.
